Teach-In Week
Each November, in celebration of American Education Week, our schools open their doors to something truly special — Teach-In! This exciting event brings local business and civic leaders into our classrooms to share their stories, spark curiosity, and inspire students to dream big.
From talking about career paths to sharing real-world experiences, these guest speakers help students see how what they’re learning today connects to their future. It’s a fun, engaging way to show our students that learning goes far beyond the textbook — and that their community is cheering them on every step of the way.

🙋‍♀️ Become a Volunteer!  Join us at Shingle Creek Elementary from November 17–21 as we celebrate Teach-In Week! Whether you're a parent, professional, or community member, we’d love to have you share your journey with our students.
📚 Need ideas? Here are a few ways to participate:

• Read a favorite book to a class
• Share your educational or career experience 
• Talk about a memorable vacation
• Tell students about a special teacher who inspired you
